Electric Razors

For whatever reason, I have never used a regular blade (Bic, etc).  The first time I tried one I cut myself and used my dad’s electric razor.  This, I thought was much better.  My first several razors were Norelco and I never had a problem.  Two years ago, my trusty razor was near the end of its lifecycle and I needed to buy a new one.  My wife saw a Remington razor on sale and insisted I buy it.  It was model R843.  The first time I tried it I had marks all over my face from the razor trying to suck up all my skin.  Yes, it hurt as well.  I could not believe it.  I read the directions which said it takes up to several weeks for a face to become accustomed to a new razor.  OK I thought, I will give it a try.  I had to skip shaving for a few days though.  The next time the same thing happened.  I actually had people at work ask me what was wrong with my face and upper neck.  This went on for a month and then I could not take it any longer.  I went back to my old Norelco, which had dull blades, could not hold a charge, etc., and it worked fine.  I went out and bought a new Norelco and have never had a problem.  So there you have it.  I am a Norelco man for life.
